So when I got up earlier, I decided to check my stats in Runescape. Then I noticed I had a challenge for Dungeoneering: Dive Into Daemonheim. I decided to work on it since I wanted to level up strength a bit first. Before though, I really wanted to work on my Aquanite slayer task for a bit since I was already equipped and everything. Then I decided since I was doing all this I might as well use my Jack of Trades aura as well.<\/p>\n
With that decided, I went into my bank, filled my inventory with food and checked my inventory. Remembering how much I hate having to pick up and bury all the bones, I remembered to grab my Bone Crusher and Herbicide (in case they dropped herbs I didn’t want to pick up), so I rushed down to Aquanites to finish up quickly.<\/p>\n
Well, I had about 110 aquanites left. By the time I ran out of food about an hour or so later I was down to around 65. Yeah, I still had a long way to go. Well, I was tired of them and still needed to do my challenge, so I used the ring I grabbed with me to teleport to Daemonheim…<\/p>\n
Except I realized that I grabbed my Explorer’s Ring, not my Ring of Kinship, so I couldn’t teleport directly to Daemonheim. I had to go to a bank first then go. So I did as such, got to Daemonheim, unequipped all my items except my Ring of Kinship and Jack of Trades, then went to the dungeon…<\/p>\n
And I realized I couldn’t take my Jack of Trades aura into the dungeon. If I unequipped the aura I’d lose my progress. So I went and created a unstrung magic shortbow, burned a magic log, and cooked a shark to exhaust the last three skills I needed to get xp in. Unfortunately I had to waste my magic logs because I didn’t have any other logs.<\/p>\n
So, I finally got into Daemonheim. Since I still barely made any progress in my Daemonheim tasks, I decided to work on them while I was in there. One task I recalled I needed was to get the “Beast Mode” title at the end of a dungeon. This requires me to exhaust all resources I have the levels to do along the critical path (critical path meaning the path through the dungeon required to reach the boss).<\/p>\n
Since I wanted to do some skilling anyway, I decided to do everything I could, and since I needed strength xp for Birthright of the Dwarves, I also opted to kill EVERY single monster in the dungeon. Doing so took me about 2 hours STRAIGHT. At the end I had a ton of resources and a ton of rusty coins, so I sold as much as I could to get Gorgonite and made the Gorgonite into off-hand Gorgonite knives because I was trying to get dual wield equipment in Daemonheim.<\/p>\n
With all of this done, I finally went and defeated the boss. Boss was extremely easy as per usual. Counting up all my bonus XP and everything, the total tally came out to around 60k of Dungeoneering experience, which also pushed my over to get level 88 Dungeoneering (88 is my highest skill total in Runescape; my next highest skill is 85, Magic, and after that I have several skills sitting at 84).<\/p>\n
Despite this, I still did not have the easy tasks in Dungeoneering and I really wanted them. I went in and redid Floor 1 again to complete a task requiring me to solo the boss on Floor 1… I completed it… and realized I already got that challenge. Finally, I moved on and re-did the first Fremmenik Saga, also for a task. This time I did get the task, so that was nice.<\/p>\n
With all this over and done with, I finally went through and turned in my challenge, gaining about 80k xp for completing a Dive into Daemonheim challenge, and then I proceeded to turn in my Jack of Trades aura for xp, about 6k, which naturally I put on Strength. Unfortunately my strength is still 82, and I need 85.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, I gained a ton of xp in other skills, leveling up Divination to 25 (its a new skill and I’ve barely worked on it; everything else is 77+), and my Mining almost hit 85 as well. I’ve got practically nothing left to the next level; about 7k or so. That’ll go by quickly.<\/p>\n
But, still, I spent almost 4 hours playing Runescape, barely got any xp in the skill I wanted to level up and wasted a whole lot of time I’d have rather spent finishing my spritesheets or designing the Kuhraiy website.<\/p>\n
I have limited time as is… whenever I start to get into Runescape for a bit, its always a huge waste of time for me. That just bites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
